Arguably one of the biggest television series ever made! However, the current app was outdated and lacked an immersive experience. Sugar Rush were tasked to create a modern version where users can delve deeper for information and provide them with a great experience.
A great app to match the drama!
Working collaboratively with their team at every step, we aimed to emulate the enchanting and iconic brand of the TV experience in every component, through colour scheme, font and all assets. Our UX/UI and Design gurus expertly teased out the finer details before bringing the magic to life in development.
The App is firstly designed to allow users a seamless transition between real locations in Northern Ireland and the fantasy Westeros. Fans can quickly access location and locale information along with visuals and can quickly switch between the two to locate nearby filming locations.
A key in-App feature for our Developers to execute was the cutting-edge iBeacon Connectivity. For App users are invited to complete the Journey of Doors and secure their digital passport. To enable this, iBeacons were placed in various filming locations to enable phone scanning and allow users to collect a stamp.
The app provides users with specialised and portable information on each of these special locations, a must for any Game of Thrones fan.

The App lets fans delve into the unique settings behind the mythical lands of Westeros and Essos via an interactive map, while 360-degree imagery brings to life the most striking landscapes featured in the globally-renowned television series.
App users are truly immersed in the epic fantasy world that underpins and enhances the iconic Game of Thrones experience.
